Mac Mahon Pastry Shop was born in 1971 through the will of Giovanni Rampinelli, affectionately known as Vanni by friends and relatives, a 32-year-old at the time, in partnership with his friend Angelo Cavaleri.
Assisted by his mother Elena, other family members and friends, and full of confidence in his own abilities, Giovanni takes on the challenge of opening a new traditional pastry shop in the Milanese outskirts, experiencing significant expansion in those years.
